  1. The Bath Comedy Festival

Home to household names and up-and-comers alike, The Bath Comedy Festival can deliver an eclectic mix of comedic offerings. Hosting famous stand-ups, sketch comedy, and even cabaret shows, there’s sure to be something for everyone; in fact, even the children will be happy thanks to the Kids’ Comedy Festival. The 2017 Bath Comedy Festival will be the 9th such event, and organisers are promising to make it the most memorable yet.

  1. The Jane Austen Festival

Austen lived in Bath for some time and wrote the famous Northanger Abbey within the city. Her influence has lasted through to the modern day, and each year sees Bath host the Jane Austen Festival. Since 2017 marks the 200th anniversary of Austen’s death, this year’s Festival will be bigger than ever, with an expected 4000 people attending over 80 events, including the wonderful

  1. The Royal Bath and West Show

Hosting more than 4500 livestock, plus many great events and attractions for all the family, The Royal Bath and West Show makes for a great day out. Explore Bath’s rural life by checking out historical machinery alongside sheep shearing and show-jumping, or take in Britain! The Show to find out about, and taste, the West Country’s legendary cider and cheddar cheese.

  1. The Bath Festival

Bath’s new flagship festival will be opening on Wednesday 15th February 2017 with the city’s biggest night of free music. 2,000 people will take to stages across Bath as part of the Party in the City kick-off event, after which world-class musicians, entertainers, and writers will provide over 130 events across 10 days. Highlights are set to include legendary jazz singer Madeleine Peyroux, New York a capella group Naturally 7, and talks from award winning author Colm Tóibín.
